Formerly the P&H Institute, the Konecranes Institute has offered the best hoist and overhead crane training in the world since it was established in 1962.

The Konecranes Institute, located in Milwaukee, is a 5,200 square foot facility that trains thousands of students every year. We can also provide training on-site at your location or at our training center in Los Angeles.

Interactive, hands on training at your facility

  • Instructors have passed the "Train-the-Trainer" Curriculum are certified by us

Overhead crane operators will be able to do the following upon finishing this course:

  • Understand the appropriate techniques to decrease load swing
  • Know the four rules of proficient, safe crane operation
  • Know the  crane operator requirements per OSHA 1910.179
  • Explain the basic crane operator qualifications and requirements
  • Document as well as perform  the day-to-day crane inspection procedure required by OSHA
  • Explain and identify all major crane assemblies and components functions
  • Make precision lifts as well as perform accurate load spotting
  • Us as well as explain all recommended hand signals
  • Know the basic rigging process to attach a load to the hook
