We’re introducing, as a standard product feature for our jib cranes, adjustable console bearing. This will improve significantly the crane’s usability as opposed to existing jib cranes. The new jib cranes will make beam adjustments highly accurate as well as simple. Without a doubt, one of the most important pieces of lifting equipment is the jib crane because of its many uses.
The jib crane keeps machining cells, warehouses and workstations in operation and helps overhead cranes on production lines. Having fewer limitations structurally than most types of lifting equipments, as well as ease of installation, allows jib cranes to be used amongst all types of customers, from assembly lines to small workshops, even nuclear plants and harbors.
We use this flexibility with large amounts of unique jib crane construction options, up to two ton capacity as standard. In fact, our range of options for the jib crane range applies to nearly any industry or application, and is supported by the biggest crane service network in the world.
Short downtime: production downtime is lower because jib cranes can be relocated or installed simply and speedily.
Increased safety: uncontrolled jib beam and trolley movements are decreased with simle adjustments.
Comfort and safety were in mind when we designed our jib crane range.
The main disconnect switch comes in wall mounted models or can be located on a pillar, and is among the many safety features Konecranes provides. Also, a separate emergency stop button is located on the hoist pendant for added safety.
Konecranes’ unique adjustable console bearing allows easy horizontal beam adjustment during the commissioning process and even afterwards, unlike traditional jib cranes which require disassembly in case of erratic self-movement of the beam.
Horizontal beam adjustment is done with ease using our special type of adjustable console bearing, before and after the commissioning process. This is not like the average jib crane, which demands disassembly in the case of unpredictable beam movement.
The unintentional movements of the trolley and beam are decreased by the accurate alignment of the beam, lowering the likelihood of damages to plant equipment, as well as plant personnel.
The accurate alignment of the beam minimizes the unintended beam and trolley movements when the crane is loaded. This reduces the possibility of damages to plant personnel and equipment.
Fixing IPUP: standard base plate, optionally with large bolt cage or base plate
Fixing IPUW: wall brackets, optionally pillar brackets
Hoist travelling: as per chain hoist selection
Beam: IPE, supported from bottom.
Adjustable console bearing equipped.
Jib slewing: manual
Power feeding: flat cable festoon on galvanized c-tracks, main switch and rising cable
Fixing XMOW: wall brackets, optionally pillar brackets
Hoist travelling: manual pull/push trolley, optionally inverter controlled motor trolley.
Jib slewing: manual
Fixing XMOP: standard base plate, optionally with large bolt cage or base plate
Beam: XM hollow profile, supported from top.
Adjustable console bearing equipped.
Power feeding: flat cable under profile + rising cable and main switch.
Outreach dimension: A larger working area is available below the crane with XMO cranes, because of their hook outreach dimension; this is thanks to profile internal beam and trolley supported from top
Low deadweight: Reduces stress towards building structure because XM profile beam are lighter in comparison with IPE profiles on the market
Ergonomics: Better working satisfaction, as well as higher efficiency, is to be expected because material handling is made silent and simple thanks to unique profile shape, low friction wheels, and low profile weight.
